Make it step by step
- Step 01
Check that the brush head is sound and enough stem remains. Replace the brush if there is no secure overlap.
- Step 02
Choose a comfortable stick overlapping the stem by several centimetres. Round and sand it without drilling into the head.
- Step 03
Place it alongside the stem and bind at two separated bands to resist twisting. Keep bindings off the bristles.
- Step 04
Sweep light dust on a table and inspect for rotation or slipping. Retire the repair if it needs force or will not hold.
Check before use
The head stays fixed, the hand avoids broken edges and the handle has no splinters.
Limits of this project
Never use this method on knives, axes, hammers, shovels or impact tools.
Take down and restore
Separate tape and parts when worn out and pack everything out.
All lashings and racks here are for light objects, never people, climbing or rescue.
