Make it step by step
- Step 01
Choose clean sound wood, smooth it and assemble a low base away from dirty-water splashes.
- Step 02
Space slats for drainage but closer than dish rims. Tie both ends to stop rotation.
- Step 03
Add food-contact mesh or a replaceable clean cloth so eating surfaces do not touch forest wood directly.
- Step 04
Invert dishes washed with safe water and leave air gaps. Store them clean once dry; replace a damp musty cloth.
Check before use
Dishes cannot fall onto soil, water does not pool and the liner is clean.
Limits of this project
Natural wood does not disinfect dishes. No exposed food or hot pans on this rack.
Take down and restore
Remove dishes first, wash the liner and pack out cord.
All lashings and racks here are for light objects, never people, climbing or rescue.
