Make it step by step
- Step 01
Choose a spot away from ready-to-eat food and paths. Use an existing support, not nails or cord around trees.
- Step 02
Line the bin, fold the bag rim out and clip it. Secure the bin if it could tip.
- Step 03
Separate scraps and sharp waste. Enclose sharps in a suitable container and avoid loading the bag with liquid.
- Step 04
Close the bag and lid whenever not in use. Move it to wildlife-appropriate storage and remove it to an approved disposal point.
Check before use
No tipping, leaks or food scraps beneath the bin.
Limits of this project
A hanging bag or ordinary bin is not animal-proof. Do not leave waste outside overnight, burn it or bury food.
Take down and restore
Pack out all waste, clean the container and collect small scraps from the ground.
All lashings and racks here are for light objects, never people, climbing or rescue.
