Make it step by step
- Step 01
Choose flat ground outside runoff routes. Place two parallel sleepers with flat faces down. Replace any that roll.
- Step 02
Place two rails across the sleepers and bind every crossing. Keep the platform low rather than adding tall legs.
- Step 03
Lay slats across the rails with gaps narrower than the bag. Bind each end and smooth the top surfaces.
- Step 04
Place a light bag centrally and check for sliding before letting go. Recheck when wood gets wet or cord loosens.
Check before use
Sleepers cannot roll, slats stay attached and the bag does not sag onto soil.
Limits of this project
Not a seat or bed. No hot containers. This is not wildlife-resistant food storage.
Take down and restore
Remove the bag before dismantling and pack out all cord fragments and brought-in materials.
All lashings and racks here are for light objects, never people, climbing or rescue.
